A Break from Biking The Bridge

As I mentioned in an earlier post, we Biked the Bridge on Monday - hired Bikes at Pier 39 and rode 13km across the Golden Gate [the most popular suicide place in the world] and into Sausolito. This was at a break half way across the Bridge. Posted by Picasa

San Francisco - Arrival Morning

The Mrs Doubtfire House

And now...The Cable Car

San Francisco is as 'picture perfect' as the media we get presented with tells us. Streets lined with houses as opposed to high density development, old school fire engines and the constant wail of sirens, bells and traffic.

I tracked down a pair of shoe I needed for the trip and purchased them online @ Delasole, San Francisco. Joe was most happy to provide me with my Tsubo, shoes and would you know it - I got them from the most like Paddington Place in all of San Francisco...go figure ;)

On another note...we looked for Mrs Doubtfire's house to have a "Drive by Fruiting" no luck but we did find George Lucas' newe ILM site VERY IMPRESSIVE

We Biked the Bridge

Monday...That is after we managed to spend the first part of Sunday sleeping, the next part eating at the best Brunch place in the Noe Valley; and the last part on that great international sport, played in every country...SHOPPING :) We BIKED THE BRIDGE from the City [Peir 39] to quaint and fashionable Sausolito.

Mike and Corina Yeaton have been wonderful hosts, Mike Megan and I had a fantastic day out. The attached images are professional, located from the web. The following are our own...

We are off and running...SAN FRANCISCO

We landed in San Francisco on Saturday morning which I thought was cool because it meant I got to have breakfast twice that day :)

I am not sure I was prepared for the chilly weather being Australian and all but jumpers and thermals HERE WE COME.
